my scrap room

Donna, http://donna-white.blogspot.com/  is having a little comp on her blog to see what everyones scrap room looks like.
This photo was taken a few months ago, so my stash has grown considerably since this photo was taken.
I have 5 built in cupboards to the left of my desk, that holds all my albums, stamps and other bits and pieces. And my paper rack is on the filing cabinet behind my desk. Its not much, but its mine.

Scrap with V sketch challenge

Vanessa at scrapwithv.blogspot.com has provided this sketch for January
I thought it would look good with some christmas photos that i had. Here is my take on the sketch

As i said in an earlier post, my christmas LOs have all been based on our traditions. So for this LO I used photos of a new tradition. I bought the girls these little elf hats this year, and each year now I am going to taker their photo near the christmas tree with their hats on. So the name of this LO is ' new tradition'. I am happy with how this LO turned out. I used bazzill cardstock, kaiser paper, Bella journal block, papermania chippy xmas tree (which i painted and heat embossed the star gold and the pot brown), prima pearl flourish, making memories brads, kaiser rub ons and pearls, ribbon, papermania snowflake sticker and american craft thickers.

Scrappin Outback January sketch challenge

The very talented Trudi, at Scrappin Outback has provided this sketch challenge for January
http://www.scrappingoutback.com.au/
And here is my LO for that sketch

My latest christmas LOs have been telling the story of our xmas traditions. This LO is about how my husband sets up the xmas tree and then the girls and I decorate the tree. I really like my tree to be perfect, so after the girls put the decorations on, i move a few around. sssshhh dont tell them. I really need to write down the brand of the paper that I use when I start a LO, because I dont know what brand I used for the base of the LO. I also used some kaiser scraps, kaiser journal tags, EK success ticket stickers, kaiser rubons, papermania ribbon, sticker and buttons and jolees embellishments

Debs Creations: Recipe challenge

To kick start the year DT member Vicki has posted a recipe challenge. The ingredients are:
3 flowers
2 patterned papers
a circle

So I created this LO of Mia, using both sides of a Making Memories ( i think) piece of paper. Quite happy with the simplicity of this LO. I also used american craft thickers, flourish with bling pearl flourish, kaiser pearls, making memories stickers and rub ons, and kaiser rub ons.

You can check out the details of the challenge at debscreations.ning.com

A christmas LO for a friend

Because I have so much xmas paper left over from Scrapbook apprentice I have been busy making LOs for my friends. This LO is of my friends daughter, who is my middle girls best friend. I used all papermania products, making memories and kaiser rub ons and the little white deer in the bottom right corner is a Stampin Up stamp. I left the chippy frame raw and doodled around the edge of the papers with white pen.

Another xmas LO

ive been trying to use up all my xmas supplies that i got from scrapbook apprentice. so ive done a heap of xmas LOs for my friend as well as of my own photos. For this LO of Isla, I used coredinations cardstock, freebie paper from scrapbooking memories mag, papermania chippy deer (which i heat embossed with brown powder), kaiser and basic grey rub ons, thicker glitter alphas, kaiser bling and some string that i got off a wedding favour.

Metallica concert layout

The Metallica concert we went to in Brisbane was great, and very loud. I wasnt really sure what to put on a LO like this, so i kept it very simple. I cant remember the name of the papers i used (i really should update my blog when I do the LOs so i dont forget), also used thicker glitter alphas, prima flower centres and glimmer mist.

A lyrical challenge

Im entering this LO of Mia into the lyrical challenge at born2create.ning.com. The song to get inspriation from is Bennie and Jets by Elton John. There is a line in the song thats says
"Oh but they're weird and they're wonderful"
And I think that line pretty much sums up Mia. She is very weird and wonderful and funny. I used some new Bo Bunny papers on this LO, just love that new range. Also used kaiser thickers, carolee creations alpha stickers, flourish with bling flourish, little yellow bicycle stickers, chipboard girl and the large flower ( I believe) is made by Amanda Taylor. Love it. Quite happy with how this turned out. And as the title suggest "in 5 seconds" Mia goes from looking beautiful in a photo to doing something very silly in just 5 seconds.
