I received a big bunch of goodies from Jules at Scrapbook Kits with a Difference http://scrapwithv.blogspot.com.au/
to create one layout with, and a bonus card with the leftover supplies
Here is what I created
Hooray Spring has arrived. I cant wait to be rid of this cold weather. But in saying that, we are so close to christmas already.
Jules has some great prizes for the September challenges at Scrapbook Kits with a Difference. More details here http://scrapwithv.blogspot.com.au/
First up is a colour inspiration challenge
And with this very bright photo as inspiration, this is what I came up with
The photo was taken at the Uproar to Scrapmore Retreat last year. I used Kaisercraft and Bazzill cardstock, Prima packaging, Kaisercraft patterned paper strips, droplets and doily, Flourish with a Bling flourish, Carolee Creations alpha stickers, washi tape, Imaginarium packing, A2Z Scraplet chipboard, leaves and a handmade flower. I also used the gorgeous Pink Present charming chain from My2Angels. They are just so gorgeous, and cheap too. Check them out here
Im quite happy with how this layout turned out. I used Kaisercraft patterned paper, tags, alpha stickers, doilies, lace and roses, sheet music, American Craft thickers, Carolee Creations alpha stickers, Imaginarium chipboard, Prima flourish and flowers, Twiddleybitz chipboard, feathers, mini roses, Bella clear flourishes and an antique charming chain from My2Angels. Check them out here
Wow this is amazing. Ingvild Bolme is giving away all of these Prima goodies to one person as a celebration of her new blog design. Wow that is so cool. You can check out the details and all her gorgeous work on her blog
I won a really cool heart from Charms Creations for doing their blog hop a while back. I've been waiting to use, and mum told me about this sketch. So I thought I'd check it out. I loved the sketch, and here is what I came up with.
I am really happy with how this layout turned out. I painted the background using black, pink and candy coloured paint. I used Kaiser patterend papers and die cuts, carolee creations alpha stickers, Eye Candy magic pinwheel, heart stick, crocheted flower and small black rose, Imaginarium chipboard title and wire chipboard piece and the Charms Creations pink heart.

Scrapbook Kits With A Difference, and the Design Team, would like to welcome you to our first ever Recipe Layout Blog Hop. We'd like to share this special event with you, and to celebrate, we are offering three kits from Scrapbook Kits With A Difference, for 3 lucky people.
The blog hop begins at the Scrapbook Kits with A Difference (SKWAD) blog http://scrapwithv.blogspot.com.au/. On the SKWAD blog you will find a complete list of all the designers participating in the blog hop, in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play with us, just follow along the blog path. Each SKWAD designer is linking to the next designer, and that designer is linking to the next, and so on. Be prepared to find lots of inspiration along the way. Our 3 lucky winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over. Woot! Woot!
The Blog Hop starts today, July 15th and runs through until 22nd July (midnight AUS Eastern Standard Time). The three winners will be announced on the SKWAD blog on Tuesday 24th July. All you need to do, to be in the draw to win one of the fabulous Scrapbook Kits kits, is the following:
1. Become a follower on our SKWAD blog.
2. Like us on our Facebook Page (link can be found on the top right side of the blog).
3. Add our SKWAD blinkie to your blog.
4. Leave a comment on each designer's blog, and on the SKWAD blog too.
5. If you create, and share a layout, using our Blog Hop Recipe, you will receive 5 extra tickets in the draw. Please link your layout to the Recipe Blog Hop post.
Official Blog Hop Recipe. Ingredient: 3 photos, 1 cardstock, 2 patterned papers, a wet medium (eg. paint, mist spray, gesso), a mask, raw chipboard, 5 buttons (or brads), 3 rows of text, twine (or string), and 2 butterflies. Flowers, ribbons, and bling are all optional.
And here is my layout. Sorry about the pics, its been really bad weather here lately and the lighting is no good for taking pics. Here are the ingredients and what I used:
3 photos - yep - lucky I have 3 daughters
1 cardstock - blue bazzill
2 patterned papers - Bo Bunny used both sides of a sheet of patterned paper and the matching journal block
a wet medium (eg. paint, mist spray, gesso) - I used ink because paint would take too long too dry at the moment. So I have inked at the top of the layout
a mask - used a chicken wire mask at the top of the layout - didnt show up very well
raw chipboard - twiddleybitz butterfly
5 buttons (or brads) - actually had to use 6
3 rows of text - and I have more than 3 rows of text (we all fiddle with the ingredients of a recipe, dont we?)
twine (or string) - machine stitched around the edge of the blue cardstock
2 butterflies - 2 eye candy magic felt butterflies
Flowers, ribbons, and bling are all optional - and you cant have a girls layout with flowers and bling. I used prima flowers and bling. And I created the title out of American Craft Thickers, journalling using a DYMO labeller and small alpha stickers.
