Anyway this layout is for Julie's background challenge. The criteria for the challenge was to create your own background. I had this piece of white cardstock sitting for ages, that i fingerpainted with a heap of different paint colours - that i had left over from painting some chipboard. I then doodled around the edge in pen and then did an inner border in white paint. FOr this layout I didnt use any patterned paper, just some plain paper and cardstock. I also used thickers, dymo labeller, crocehted doilies, eye candy magic fimo, dusty attic chipboard, string, kaiser flower, prima flourish, bella flower, metal charms, making memories brads, mesh ribbon, magnolia flower and bella clear flourishes

is a decade theme. Choose a decade and create a card, layout or OTP project with that theme in mind.

I used the super mom image from Kenny K to create a 50s theme card for my mother in law. Now Im not a 50s child, in fact I just snuck in to be a 70s child. So i have no idea what the 50s were like, but i imagine them to be not really colourful and  a little plain. LOL well thats my interpretation anyway. So for this card I used brown and grey, with a hint of red, and not a lot of embellishments. I used papermania paper and bow, ribbon and flourish with a bling pearls.

Dizzy Izzy Sketch challenge

I bought some really cheap prima flourishes from Dizzy Izzy, on ebay. They are in the process of setting up an online store. There newsletter had a sketch challenge for July/August. You can see the challenge on their facebook page

Here is the layout that i have done for the sketch. Im really happy with how this turned out. I used Kaiser patterned papers, prima flourish, bo bunny clear flourish and arrow, kaiser pearls, american craft thickers and sam's eye candy magic roses

Sam's Eye Candy Magic August - Masking challenge

This layout was originally to be used for a class for my LSS, but the weekend event had to be cancelled. For the masking I have used glimmermist and a doily, at the top left of the photo. Not very original with the doily, but its all i have. I used Sassafras Lass papers, ribbon, buttons, and a doily. I made the rose using punched out flowers from the Sassafrass papers. Im really happy with this layout, i love the colours

And here is my creation. I feel as though its a bit naked, but it will do :) I used simple stories and sassafras lass patterned paper, flourish with a bling flourish, kaiser pearls, beads, mini roses, mesh, carolee creations alpha stickers and american craft thickers.

For this layout I used the new Graphic 45 Magic of Oz. I find the paper so gorgeous, but a little difficult to use. Im reasonably happy with how this layout turned out. Other ingredients were string, eye candy magic flower and doilies, mini roses, dymo labeller, american craft thickers and somo cricket stickers.
